We are pleased to announce the next edition of the Eunice Summer Research School, organised in collaboration with the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP), which will take place at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander as part of the EUNICE alliance activities.
In 2026, the course will be coordinated by the University of Catania under the direction of Professors Salvatore Corrente and Carlo Trigona under the title: ‘Innovative solutions: micro-nano technologies and sensors for global challenges’.
This is a blended intensive programme (BIP) that will combine both online sessions and face-to-face classes in Santander, which will take place in the last week of June 2026 (dates to be confirmed).
The lecturers' involvement includes:
Collaboration in the design and preparation of course content.
Teaching during the online phase.
Travel to Santander to participate in the face-to-face sessions. This is mandatory and cannot be omitted, in accordance with Erasmus+ regulations for BIPs.
Travel and subsistence costs can be covered by Erasmus+ funding, with the support of local international relations offices (IROs).
We are currently looking for lecturers who could contribute to one of the following modules (detailed information on each topic can be found in the application form):
Module 1: Sustainable agriculture
Module 2: Cultural heritage protection
Module 3: Environmental protection
Module 4: Healthcare
Module 5: Smart energy and mobility
Those interested in participating are requested to complete the form by 16 October 2025.
Applications will be carefully reviewed by the course coordinators, who will strive to ensure a balanced representation of topics and institutions. Please note that, depending on the number of applications, not all candidates may be selected.
