From November 16-23, 2025, Professor Andrew Thatcher will visit the Faculty of Engineering Management at the Poznań University of Technology, and has agreed to deliver two lectures prepared for doctoral students. The visit will take place as part of the "Excellent International Cooperation Initiative – Short-Term Visits" program, which aims to intensify international research and teaching activities at the Poznań University of Technology.

Professor Andrew Thatcher is a Full Professor of Industrial/Organisational Psychology in the Department of Psychology in the School of Human & Community Development at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a world-leading researcher on the links between human factors/ergonomics and sustainability, the author of two books on the subject, and the recipient of numerous awards for his research, including the NSTF-South32 Green Economy Award 2022/2023, the Vice-Chancellor’s Research Innovation and Social Impact Award 2023, and the HFES Hal Hendrick Distinguished International Colleague Award 2025. He is currently one of the co-editors-in-chief of the journal Ergonomics and the president of the International Ergonomics Association.
