LXII MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION OF TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES DOCTORAL STUDENTS

The LXII Meeting of the Association of Technical Universities Doctoral Students was held on March 14–16 at Poznan University of Technology. The event was jointly organized by the Association of Technical Universities Doctoral Students and the Doctoral Students’ Council of Poznan University of Technology. The Meeting brought together representatives of doctoral student councils from technical universities across Poland. 

The proceedings commenced in the presence of distinguished guests, including: dr hab. inż. Agnieszka Misztal, prof. PP – Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education; dr hab. inż. Łukasz Amanowicz, prof. PP – Deputy Director of the Doctoral School; prof. dr hab. Agnieszka Merkisz-Guranowska – Leader of the Center for Innovative Education at PUT; Anna Wawdysz – Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Poznań for Youth and Academic Cooperation and Agata Walczak - Chair of the Poznań Association of Doctoral Students. 

Poznan University of Technology was also represented by members of its Doctoral Students’ Council: Wiktoria Kanciak, Witold Stachowiak, Anna Martin, Lidia Smyczyńska, Julia Milewicz, as well as the Chair of the PUT Students’ Council - Maja Kurzawska. 

During the meeting, key topics relevant to the doctoral students community were discussed, including collaboration between doctoral candidates and the socio-economic environment. In this context, Ms. Krystyna Sawczuk, Area Leader – Head of the HR Department at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology, presented the institute’s offer and opportunities available to doctoral candidates. 

In addition, the following training sessions were conducted: 

  • "Effective communication of constructive feedback" – focused on effective communication, including how to deliver feedback appropriately as a leader in various situations, conducted by dr hab. Agnieszka Krugiełka.
  • "How to be smarter than AI?" – focused on selecting and using AI tools effectively in academic work, conducted by mgr inż. Jarosław Derda.
  • "Diplomacy in external relations" – on diplomatic conduct in academic and business interactions, conducted by dr inż. Barbara Balon. 

The meeting concluded with a reporting panel summarizing the Association’s recent activities, followed by a discussion on current matters concerning the doctoral community.
