As part of the celebration of the European City of Science Katowice 2024, the University of Silesia is pleased to invite young scientists to participate in the international EU TalentOn 2024 competition, which is addressed to scientists at the beginning of their careers.
During the several-day hackathon, scheduled for September 9-14 in Katowice, approximately 125 young (aged 21-35) scientists from all over Europe will develop innovative solutions in five key areas of the European Union included in the Horizon Europe program:
- Adaptation to climate change
- Cancer
- Restore our ocean and water
- Climate-neutral and smart cities
- A soil deal for Europe
The teams' task will be to prepare creative, scientifically best possible and feasible solutions to problems. The winning team will receive a cash prize.
Deadline for applying to EU TalentOn 2024 is May 20, 2024.
