BEFORE SUBMITTING THE DOCTORAL DISSERTATION (within the deadline specified in the Individual Research Plan (IRP)), together with the required documents, the doctoral student is obliged to complete:
- an individual training program, i.e. obtain a pass in all subjects included in the doctoral training program (grades must be entered into the USOS system),
- a mandatory internship and required professional practical trainings.
1. We recommend that before submitting the doctoral dissertation, in accordance with Rector’s Ordinance No. 46 (RO/IX/46/2020), the author of the dissertation submits it in an editable version (file with the extension doc, docx, odt, rtf, tex) and non-editable version (file with the extension pdf) to an administrative employee at the appropriate Faculty, indicated by the Chairperson of the Discipline Council, who will send the dissertation to be checked in the Uniform Anti-Plagiarism System (JSA).
2. APD System (Archive of Diploma Dissertation)
a) no later than 5 working days before the planned date of uploading the doctoral dissertation to the APD system, the Doctoral School office should be informed by e-mail to phd.school@put.poznan.pl (using the e-mail address @doctorate.put.poznan.pl) about the final title* of the doctoral dissertation and the language in which it was prepared,
b) Doctoral School office enters basic data about the doctoral dissertation into the APD system within 2 working days,
c) the doctoral student fills in the remaining (required) information regarding the dissertation in the APD system, uploads the doctoral dissertation and the positive opinion (opinions) of the supervisor or supervisors,
d) after the APD system has applied control numbers to the doctoral dissertation, it is ready to be downloaded from APD and printed with the applied control numbers from the downloaded PDF file.
SUBMITTING THE DOCTORAL DISSERTATION at the Doctoral School office, within the deadline specified in the IRP - required documents:
a) doctoral dissertation in hard copy (printed with control numbers applied by the APD system, soft cover),
in the case when:
A. the doctoral dissertation has been prepared in accordance with the most recent IRP submitted to the Doctoral School, and only the planned title of the dissertation* has been slightly modified, a statement should be submitted
B. during the preparation of the doctoral dissertation, both its title* and the implemented IRP were modified, a modified IRP should be submitted (according to the Regulations of the Doctoral School of PUT § 12, par. 6: "In justified cases, after mid-term assessment, one-time modification of individual research plan agreed with the supervisor or supervisors and approved by the auxiliary supervisor (if applicable) as well as accepted by the appropriated Coordinator within the discipline is possible."
b) the original of the positive opinion (opinions) of the supervisor or supervisors,
c) annual report,
d) final report for the Ministry (for participants in "Doktorat Wdrożeniowy" program),
e) application for issuing education completion certificate (application template is available in the DOCUMENTS TO DOWNLOAD tab,
f) doctoral ID card.
* In the case of participants in "Doktorat Wdrożeniowy" program, any modification of the doctoral dissertation title (and IRP), in accordance with the program's conditions, must be approved by the Ministry.
NOTE
At the Doctoral School, we accept handwritten and electronic signatures. If:
- the documents were signed by hand, their original paper versions must be submitted (scans/pictures of documents will not be accepted),
- the documents were signed electronically, they should be sent to the address phd.school@put.poznan.pl.
It is unacceptable to use two ways of signing one document.
DEACTIVATION OF THE eKonto SYSTEM
According to Rector’s Ordinance No. 43 of October 27, 2021, § 6 sec. 2 The deactivation of the eKonto and the corresponding primary e-mail address (...@doctorate.put.poznan.pl) takes place: … b) in the case of doctoral students - 3 months after the termination of their doctoral student status (i.e. from the moment of submitting the doctoral dissertation to the Doctoral School office).

THE PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING A DOCTORAL DEGREE is carried out at the appropriated Faculty in accordance with the Regulations on the awarding of the doctoral degree at the Poznan University of Technology by the Disciplinary Council appropriate for the doctoral student.
