On July 22 - 26, 2024 another study visit by one of the employee of the PUT Doctoral School took place. Ms. Irmina Jaśkowiak visited the EUNICE's partner university - the University of Catania (Unict). The visit took place as part of the INPUTDoc project co-financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the STER Programme “Internationalisation of doctoral schools”.
During the visit, Ms. Irmina Jaśkowiak met with Ms. Valentina Barbagallo, head of the International Relations Office as well as the staff of the Ph.D. Students Office, and above all, Mr. Salvatore Libertini. The Office's activities related to the education of doctoral students within the offered scientific disciplines were discussed, including mainly the recruitment conditions and the education program. Mutual experiences in the field of providing services to doctoral students were also exchanged.
In the 2023/2024 academic year the University of Catania was one of three partners (apart from the Poznań University of Technology and the University of Cantabria) creating a joint educational offer for doctoral students. Therefore, talks were also initiated on further possibilities of cooperation towards internationalisation, e.g. within the cotutelle agreements, which are becoming more and more popular.
